Joanie was born in Llanelli, South Wales, on the 6th March, 1921. She is much loved and will always be remembered by all her friends and family.

What a lovely lady Joanie was; always lively, witty, articulate and knowledgeable. She always had a story to tell (often about her family) and nothing diverted her from the telling of it! It was a pleasure to be in her company and a privilege to have known her.
